But I love the statement that you had used:

Can we blend our passions with our jobs? Can it not be that jobs allow us to pursue our passions?

This is Monumental in my life today. Thank you for posting it.
I needrd to read it, think it and pursue it.Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04876747946638345450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14002776.post-56807798866174968302008-04-09T03:01:00.000-05:002008-04-09T03:01:00.000-05:00"Paul ‘agitated’ the Corinthians…..are we not call..."Paul ‘agitated’ the Corinthians…..are we not called to agitate others?"

Yes! This has been on my mind lately. Paul boasts in Galations: "If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ."

"Can we blend our passions with our jobs? Can it not be that jobs allow us to pursue our passions?"

We don't always get to decide what we do, but we almost always get to decide how and how well we do it. A job done well and in a good spirit is a good job.Micah Hooverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02837253214315478347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14002776.post-62226406959949222282008-04-08T22:59:00.000-05:002008-04-08T22:59:00.000-05:00I like the agitated v. aggravated thought...I ofte...I like the agitated v. aggravated thought...I often question why I blog. I think I've decided to use my own blog as a way to capture things I want to remember - so maybe it is just more for me, but I guess sharing has something to do with it too.Jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06926815934572645554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14002776.post-16398773713040140452008-04-08T16:05:00.000-05:002008-04-08T16:05:00.000-05:00I meant that there are people in the Christian cul...I meant that there are people in the Christian culture w/o that as their main purpose.

You're right about the "human-ness" people have. I guess I'm being too idealistic here. The Christian belief in the spiritual war against Satan/the world/flesh are tough competitors vs. our desire to follow God.

Thanks for responding! Hope your having a good day.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18306396388057509165noreply@blogger.com
