Exodus 12 & 13; Psalm 21; Acts 1

Ahhh flu season, throw up or vomit or puke whatever your term of ‘endearment’ for it is…..my daughter is home with both of hers fully in it and she is feeling somewhat nauseous herself. I’m going to take some 7-up to her at lunch and put it in the garage and RUN!! The being vulnerable surely doesn’t apply to exposing myself to yakkin??? But sick as dogs aren’t they adorable!!
I pray to be soft and vulnerable open to Your spirits leading as I read….
In Exodus they literally (?) have the clouds and fire to follow now…..making me think of the book we are doing in Small Group Walk Across the Room by Bill Hybels, it looks to be very interesting and in the introduction and in all I have read about the book it is about our responding to the nudges of the Holy Spirit….
I want them you know, those nudgings and I want to learn to be responsive to them.
How about you, what experiences do you have or have you seen other people have??
I hear people who feel they have been abused by people proclaiming to BE spirit led or that the Lord told them or that the Spirit said….I find it more, like a nudge to DO or say something that involves that vulnerability piece that trusting Him alone piece....
I admit to being pretty new to the whole of it and strangely excited that I may be able to experience this more…..
Are you ready and eager for them or doubtful about the reality of it ?? Just curious.

Acts 1: 7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Oh my gosh they are so cute! I just want to hug them (if they didn't have the barfs). Good for you for dropping off 7-up and running out!

Nudges from the Holy Spirit - I have had several experiences that I guess would be nudges. For example just yesterday I was looking for a new job and kind of excited but something happened here at this job and I felt like God was saying "Stay". Just that simple. I am going to stay because He wants me here through this turbulent time ahead.

Other times that have been totally cool have been when the HS has given me words to share with others. One time in particular I remember talking to a friend who was struggling. NOTHING I said came from me. It was so weird to hear all this stuff come out of my mouth because it wasn't me at all - and of course she was greatly blessed and afterwards she even said "The HS just used you to speak to me".

I feel that way about you sometimes!!! I'll get a one sentence email from you that says VOLUMES and it hits me RIGHT where I am at THAT moment!!!

Awww...so cute and yet so sick. And no, being vulnerable has nothing to do with catching sickness. Guards up on that one.

Being led by the Holy Spirit is a powerful thing. It's always interesting to note how He prompts us in our everyday lives as well as in the bigger picture. As far as that vulnerability piece and trusting piece go, well..that's another story.

I can totally relate !! I am so sick of everyone being sick.
For me, I have a personal relationship with the Lord and the best way I can describe it is just a walking day by day together.
Everyday is new and fresh ! I agree, the spirt does "nudge" us at times.
