Mark 12: 28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31 The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
So today I need your help…I need your prayers….I/we need guidance and the wisdom you have gained from your experiences.
Prayers if not us (my husband and I) then for God to raise up the leaders from within our church community to lead it.
Prayers for soft seeking hearts for us as well as the participants.
My husband and I, the Monday after Easter will be beginning a class….Journey – Starting Point….for people who are looking for Christ, for God….for people who want to learn what it looks like to ‘cross the line of faith’…for people who want to explore what being a fully devoted follower of Christ is or means or….a class for people who are spiritually sensitive and want to explore the mystery of God…for people who just want to ask questions and join other people in doing so….for people who want to go from ‘earner to heir’…...
I’m not explaining it well because it’s form is..well it’s being formulated as much as you can formulate a plan or class for people who……don’t know who Christ is…..don’t know aren’t sure how He fits in their lives…but want to…..
I am not qualified to do something like this and yet……no I’m not qualified, no bible scholar….no teacher…no leader and yet what I am is seeking Him myself and what I find every day is GRACE and MORE GRACE….is mystery and power in finding the less I know for sure, save Christ died and rose from the dead to save us…and that the more I seek Him …the more I LOVE Him…..…….So I need your help, your prayers…….any questions that stimulated your journey’s, any stories that brought things clearer…anything to help a seeker BEGIN the most amazing JOURNEY. .

Wow, this really sounds exciting - and scary. I know you will do fine, you already have a great foundation: "Christ died and rose from the dead to save us."
Don't have any help for you are the moment, but will keep reading for future updates.
B~
This sounds very exciting Bek...Christ as our foundation is really all we have to go on especially in this modern religious world we live in...I don't know how much help it is but I just remember EVERYTHING being turned upside down (prepare for a lot of freaked out people)...everything I had ever thought was true turned out not to be...the walls had to be torn down before anything else could be built...Ahh heres a thought...The first thing I "saw" along this path was that I realized that His Gospel, His focus, His way is completely Christ centered, its ALL about Him and for Him...and if that was true...then my entire "man" centered gospel was out...that encompasses about 95% of Christendom...(totally mind bending i must say..) another thing was toward the end of my actually giving it up and accepting all this weird newness...I asked the question..."If God is sovereign...why pray?"...
Just a couple of things I remember...I'll be interested to hear how it goes....
How exciting! My prayers are with you as you come alongside His precious children. I know you will be blessed through this experience.
i will be praying for you. It sounds very exciting.
This sounds great! I am doing something like this at my church with some kids on a once-a-week basis and am finding it extremely helpful for the kiddos who attend. Lots of these kids, and I would imagine it would be true with adults, don't have a "safe" place where they can come with their questions. I applaud you in beginning to create that place.
grace and peace be yours from Jesus Christ and Almighty God becky so thrilling to see you take this step prayers will surround you!!! Thanks sooooooooooooooo much for praying for me and encouraging me as you do!!!
