Joshua 15 - 17; 1 Corinthians 8

1 Corinthians 1 Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. 2 The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. 3 But the man who loves God is known by God.

and I love the way the Message puts it.....1-3 The question keeps coming up regarding meat that has been offered up to an idol: Should you attend meals where such meat is served, or not? We sometimes tend to think we know all we need to know to answer these kinds of questions—but sometimes our humble hearts can help us more than our proud minds. We never really know enough until we recognize that God alone knows it all.

So why did I think I was God, thinking I knew ' it all' ??

Absence of a humble heart?

Self-protection?

Sin?

All of the above?

'We never really know enough until we recognize that God alone knows it all.'

The point of the journey is to want what God wants more than anything.....God alone knows it all......a life of faith.....this is the stuff dreams are made of. To be so scared and yet driven to discover how to follow You, knowing I'm gonna fail and yet driven to keep on trying......I don't know anything anymore but I do LOVE You...I do believe You are working on and in me.....I hope that's enough for now......

If we know it all, where would be the faith? I love the quote, 'We never really know enough until we recognize that God alone knows it all.' The point of the journey IS to want what God wants, but to also know that daily we have a choice to make.

His peace on you Becky.
