Esther 1 & 2; Psalm 150; Luke 17

40 years of hide and seek
Looking for the truth and then hiding from it....
The last 10 knowing it and seeking to KNOW it in my heart…?
And now there is no more hiding ……
I so understand, no, closer to understanding Matthew 10:17-22 though I am not rich in material things , the things, thoughts, ideas I do hold, I have held tightly. What or how to finish out this life open handed, hearted and minded receiving rather than demanding and getting?

Luke 17: 11 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. 12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance 13 and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!"
14 When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed.
15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.
17 Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" 19 Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."
One of them came back….so the other 9 , seeing they were healed were ...caught up in what they thought they heard Jesus tell them to do and kept on heading to the priest ? So the one goes back the other 16 are what, like…..'do we follow him, do we keep on going?'…….'just stay with the majority and do what He said.'
They were healed/ cleansed in the going…..what stopped them from going back?
Did they disbelieve their healing and spend some time worrying about it’s returning, did they jump into whatever they felt they had missed and forget what…maybe like me the last ten years…..too much time spent saying ‘seriously' and doubting .... rather than just thanking Him.

Just as a side note...Esther 2: 12 Before a girl's turn came to go in to King Xerxes, she had to complete twelve months of beauty treatments prescribed for the women, six months with oil of myrrh and six with perfumes and cosmetics. (seriously….I mean just seriously ..Tim Gunn helps women in a coupla days ?)

Another side note: The more I talk about wanting to help women, the more women light up with the same dream. One is even sending me links on writing grants....Now that scares the crap out of me, we don’t yet have a woman capable of starting it. So do I continue to dream and scheme or FIND that woman ready to write grants and implement business plans to see if it can go beyond dreaming?

I know I am a "late-finder" of your blog but, what is your Dream? Would love to hear more about it...

I dare you to start it :)

Becky, if ever I have met a woman that is capable and READY for the challenge of following a dream...it is you.

I wonder if you have any idea how much God uses you already...I think He's cracked the door open even further...what do you have to lose if you walk through it?

Lately I've been finding a strong connection between people who dare to believe and do crazy things, and those who have faith. I don't need to dare you, though, bjk, because you seem to have learned the secret of following your own dares.

The preparation Esther went through is astounding! Yet, anyone who is familiar with esthetics could grasp it. However good-looking a thing is, a true artist can always find flaws ... so it is a relentless pursuit.

The life of faith is similar because it is a constant striving, but in a different way -it searches for flaws in trusting God. Just because someone trusted God one day, it doesn't mean they trust Him the next.

The task of becoming good-looking is hard, taking a year or maybe forever, but, as the Dane says, faith is a task for a lifetime.
