Brokenness

Went to the bible and found 133+ references to broken.....the word just floats around in my head....I can see me, you, all of us broken and yet trying so hard to hide it or in the hiding working ourselves to FIX it......FIX it...what if THAT'S what we are supposed to be discovering and learning to live with, that we are broken? That we will be broken until we get HOME. That in the brokenness we reveal the fragrance of Christ, in our dependence on Him He ....I don't know but THAT word just won't leave me alone today.....

Henri Nouwen Devotional
Fruits That Grow in Vulnerability

There is a great difference between successfulness and fruitfulness. Success comes from strength, control, and respectability. A successful person has the energy to create something, to keep control over its development, and to make it available in large quantities. Success brings many rewards and often fame. Fruits, however, come from weakness and vulnerability. And fruits are unique. A child is the fruit conceived in vulnerability, community is the fruit born through shared brokenness, and intimacy is the fruit that grows through touching one another's wounds. Let's remind one another that what brings us true joy is not successfulness but fruitfulness.

I want the success more than the fruitfulness.....or maybe YOU know my heart best and I DO want the fruitfulness??
I am so lonely....so very very lonely.
If I hold on...If I push through....If I persevere.....
Promise You'll be there - PROMISE??
Is it supposed to be so lonely?
Is it supposed to be so scary and lonely, what am I doing wrong?

Thank you. I needed to go back here and rethink and revisit what I've learned on this in the past year oh so.

You know I think we will be lonely or that feeling of lonliness will consume us until we are in Heaven, no matter how many loved ones we have around us!

About brokeness...I always invision a broken Alabaster Jar with a rich Lavendar Perfume floating and fresh and clean from the glistening shards, giving fragrance in the brokeness...

Let us desire to be fruitful...let us indeed!
