1 Samuel 22; Psalm 17 & 35; Matthew 6

Starting a new group, an Agitational Leader Group….wanting to agitate leaders to going deeper into their own journey’s, into the discovery of the NEED of and for God dependence for those who desire to LEAD others. I have to tell myself that’s what it is because if I don’t then I am twisted in being a leader myself all over again.

Everything in me is scared to death and yet more fearful to NOT do it. There are people who lead who just want to have influence, I know this because THAT is the leader I was and would be again without the humbling that comes daily from reading in the Bible about what happens to the people who try that. Who go through life without Christ. Who go through life thinking they know what’s best for everyone else. That again was me, so caring you know, to think that I knew what you needed. To think that I was important enough to be able to ‘fix’ you. To think that I knew anything…And now I just want us all living in this state of utter and complete God dependence, serving where you are gifted. Living Christ and His love for all to see and be drawn to and in the being drawn to that finding this amazing personal ridiculous God who loves you with such abandon and wants YOU to seek Him and Him alone and in THAT seeking He leads you to places you would never have ever known.

So I’m doing it, scared to death at all that is going to be revealed in me in the doing. Scared to death and yet excited beyond belief…It’s Him and as long as I believe THAT……well hopefully in the being agitated myself I will follow where He leads.

It’s dangerous you know, following an invisible God when we have leaders visible all around us. Saul was visible and abused all that God had given him.... how many church leaders do the same? How many church leaders find themselves forgetting who they follow? How can we follow an invisible God without seeking Him and His word?? How can we trust what we hear IF we are not in the word ourselves?? Are there leaders who can truly lead without being dependent on God? How can we follow such leaders? What is God doing in churches right now, how is He challenging us who are in the church to be agitational leaders dependent, always dependent on Him alone? Why do people leave churches and start their own, is it God’s plan that there be so many divisions? Dang I think I have way more questions than anything else…..

See and in YOUR word is our comfort…..

Do Not Worry
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life ?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
So the journey may be lonely but in the end……

see another thing I don’t know… but it sure sounds like it’s gonna be worth it……

Agitational leader...hmmm, that's an interesting way of saying it...if you keep it peer oriented and keep the environment on fairly equal footing...a journey together toward Christ...this could work...I'll be interested to hear how it goes...(expect everyone to look to you...that's what we are trained to do...) and it will be uphill all the way to reverse that...

This sounds like a great group. It's good that your scared. God gave you you the abilities and attributes of a leader and you've made yourself soft and pliable and teachable.

This will be a wonderful journey!

It is tough following an invisible God when there are so many visual distractions all around us, and that includes the leaders we see. I like the thought of a group of Agitational Leaders. Pray His peace will be revealed to you and you will no longer be scared.

So I Go said...

in your weakness, He is strong. keep laying it before Him, and let Him turn it around for His glory.

it's a beautiful thing to watch you grow in that strength. i come here nearly every day for encouragement because you so often echo where i'm at.

peace and joy my friend :-)
