Nahum 1 - 3; John 5

of

Talking to a woman last nite and she sooo buys the dream….in fact scarily so.....soooo we are both committed to in the next two weeks to simply praying for …..praying to hear if THIS is something to pursue. We are going to be reading and journaling through the praying, trusting that His word can and will guide us. I am so drawn to this dream and so inadequate for it…..alot going through my mind and heart and don’t want to be driven by emotion and yet there is an emotion around the dream that I hope and pray is…..something other than me……
Dan Allender from The Healing Path: Imagination moves us to glimpse what a human heart and life is meant to become. Incarnate care takes on the suffering of others to bear the cost (or a portion) of their plight. To care means to become “care less”, not “care full”, regarding ourselves.
John 5: 39 You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
41"I do not accept praise from men, 42 but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. 43 I have come in my Father's name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. 44 How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God ?

I am coming to You for life……I do seek the praise of men or did and still want to…..this seems different, seems scarier to dream about and yet to not dream it seems worse…

Reading the last two posts, especially the one before this one...I'm praying for the dream, I'm praying that the passion and emotion fuels into the flame a reality that is beyond your expectation. What does real Christianity look like? I think in many ways we are doing it wrong...gracious me I've got some meat to chew on!

What is influencing your dream? I mean aside from prayer and the Word. (And in making that qualification, I am in no way discounting those sources of guidance and inspiration.) I've only read the last couple posts recently, so forgive me if you've already answered that question.
