Exodus 9-11 : Luke 24

Exodus . 9: 34 When Pharaoh saw that the rain and hail and thunder had stopped, he sinned again: He and his officials hardened their hearts. 35 So Pharaoh's heart was hard and he would not let the Israelites go, just as the LORD had said through Moses.

But in verse 9: 12 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said to Moses.

And going even further back to verse 7: 7 Pharaoh sent men to investigate and found that not even one of the animals of the Israelites had died. Yet his heart was unyielding and he would not let the people go.

So sometimes Pharoah chose to sin and harden his heart and other times God hardened his heart???? Or am I reading more into it than I am supposed to???
Ok I remember getting confused last time reading this..... Ex. 10: 16 Pharaoh quickly summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "I have sinned against the LORD your God and against you. 17 Now forgive my sin once more and pray to the LORD your God to take this deadly plague away from me." 18 Moses then left Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD. 19 And the LORD changed the wind to a very strong west wind, which caught up the locusts and carried them into the Red Sea. [b] Not a locust was left anywhere in Egypt. 20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let the Israelites go.

What choice did Pharoah have? Well going all the way back he could have chosen the way of Abraham?? The Egyptian way of life w/ so many Gods....I mean even later Paul goes wherever and even sees a shrine to YOU, but they didn't know what to call YOU?? So he/ Pharoah was doomed???... he had no value other than to be used to show YOUR GLORY???... Ex. 11: 9 The LORD had said to Moses, "Pharaoh will refuse to listen to you—so that my wonders may be multiplied in Egypt." ...so Larry Crabb saying 'the point of the journey is to want what God wants more than anything' is true and has always been true and will always be true and the sooner we learn THAT about YOU the quicker something that makes little sense in the ways of the WORLD does make sense in the ways of YOU????.......
This quote this morning....maybe it hits truly on the problem we are having, the problem that we have always had.... "If your heart takes more pleasure in reading novels, or watching TV, or going to the movies, or talking to friends, rather than just sitting alone with God and embracing Him, sharing His cares and His burdens, weeping and rejoicing with Him, then how are you going to handle forever and ever in His presence...? We live in a world of multiple fantastic distractions good and bad and what YOU are asking us to believe is that YOU are better than any of them...than all of them.....Wow........I believe, help me with my unbelief.......

And then to tie it all up at least in my childlike mind.....Luke 24: 30When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?" what is it going to take to open our eyes?? A seeking heart YOU never deny.......I pray for any and all who read this to begin a journey of EPIC proportions.....a messy, hard, mystical....amazing journey.
